    Applications:

    • Water-based self-drying or amino-baked rust-inhibitive primer;

    • Water-based self-drying or amino-baked primer-and-topcoat combined anti-rust paint;

    • Acrylic emulsion anti-corrosion performance modifier;

     

    Advantages:

    • Excellent drying performance;

    • Excellent water resistance and anti-corrosion performance;

    • Certain weather resistance;

    • Stability;

    • Excellent wettability, allowing for the grinding of color pastes;

    • Excellent versatility, allowing it to be formulated into either air-drying paint or amino-baked paint.

    How to use:

    Self-drying or low-temperature drying system: Simply add water for dilution; alternatively, you can efficiently enhance drying performance by using the KDD® AD1485W drier additive at a dosage of 3–9% based on the resin weight, ensuring sufficient shear force is applied during addition.

    High-temperature baking system: When paired with methoxylated amino resin, the recommended amount of amino resin is 5–25% based on the resin weight.

     

    Important Notes:

    1. When adding acidic pigments, first test the pH value of the system. To adjust the pH, you can use KDD® PH1109 Adjuster, N,N-dimethylethanolamine, triethylamine, or ammonia solution.

    2. When the water-soluble content of the pigment filler added to the system is relatively high, it will compromise the shear stability of the system.

    3. The viscosity of the resin increases as the pH value rises.

    4. It can be diluted with alcohol-based and alcohol-ether solvents, though adding solvents for dilution is generally not recommended unless addressing specific defects in the paint film is necessary.

     

    Storage:

    1. It can be stably stored under weakly alkaline conditions but will settle and separate into layers under acidic conditions.

    2. Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C;

    3. Water-based acrylic resin products have a shelf life of one year; however, if they pass inspection after expiration, they can still be safely used.
